So, I wanted to try out this whole tampon thing. I’ve heard a lot about them, and I figured it was time to see what the fuss was all about. I did a bit of reading beforehand, just to get the gist of how these things work. From what I gathered, it seemed pretty straightforward, but I was still a bit nervous.
First, I bought a box of tampons. I stood there in the store aisle for what felt like forever, staring at all the different options. Super, regular, light flow…what did it all mean? I ended up grabbing a box of regulars, figuring it was a good starting point. I also picked up some pads, just in case things went south.
- Getting it in was…an experience. The instructions made it seem so simple, but it took me a few tries to get the hang of it. I definitely did not insert the tampon correctly, it was my first time! I tried again and again. I felt the tampon in my hand, but I didn’t know the exact method. I felt around and after a few tries, I finally got it!
- Once it was in, it felt a bit weird at first. Not painful, just…different. I kept checking to make sure it was still there. I was so worried about leaks! I was walking around all cautiously, convinced that everyone could tell I was wearing a tampon.
- Throughout the day, I kept going to the bathroom to check on things. Paranoid, I know. But hey, better safe than sorry, right? I checked if it was leaking. And it didn’t seem to be leaking, but I wasn’t 100% sure. I was worried, but I pushed through it.
- I even tried doing some light exercise to really put it to the test. Some jumping jacks, a bit of jogging in place. Nothing too crazy. I don’t want to get too crazy here since I don’t know if it might leak. But hey, you have to try a bit of everything, right?
- By the end of the day, I was pretty impressed. No leaks! I felt way more confident than I did in the morning. I felt free and it was actually pretty convenient! Taking it out was a whole other adventure, but we’ll save that story for another time.
Overall, my first tampon experience was a success. There was a bit of a learning curve, and some definite anxiety, but I managed to get through the day leak-free. I’m still not a tampon expert, but I’m definitely more comfortable with the idea now. I think I’ll keep experimenting with different sizes and absorbencies to find what works best for me.
Definitely a win in my book.
My first time wasn’t so bad at all! My anxiety was getting the best of me, but after I tried it out a few times, everything was good and I felt great. It’s normal to feel a bit nervous about using them, but I’m here to tell you that it’s not so bad! You can do it too!
