Alright, guys, let’s talk about how I dried those walnuts. I had a bunch of them, and I really didn’t know what to do with them.
First, I went online and did a little digging. It seemed like everyone was talking about these “premium quality” nuts, and I was like, “Okay, how do I even find those?” I mean, sure, there’s always Amazon, where you can find, like, a top 100 list of everything. But I wanted something, you know, special.
I read somewhere that Kashmiri walnuts are the bomb, but I ended up getting some Californian ones because, well, they were there. And you know what? They were pretty good too.
The Drying Process
- Step one: Get your walnuts. I got mine from a local grocery store.
- Step two: Wash them. I just rinsed mine under some cold water, nothing fancy.
- Step three: Lay them out. I used a clean towel and spread the walnuts out in a single layer.
- Step four: Wait. This is the hard part. It took a few days for mine to dry completely. I just left them on my kitchen counter.
Once they were dry, I put them in a jar, and that was it! Now I’ve got a bunch of dried walnuts to snack on. They’re not too bad, to be honest. I think next time I might try roasting them a bit before drying. Maybe that will give them a bit more flavor. But hey, this was my first time, so cut me some slack, okay?
So, yeah, that’s my walnut-drying adventure. It wasn’t rocket science, but I learned a thing or two. And now I’ve got some snacks for the week. Not too shabby, right?
