Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this cranberry green tea. I ain’t no fancy doctor or nothin’, but I know a thing or two about what goes into my body, ya know?
What is this cranberry green tea anyway? I guess it’s like this, they take them little red cranberries, the ones that taste kinda sour, and they mix ‘em up with green tea leaves. Green tea, that’s the stuff folks been drinkin’ for ages, they say it’s good for ya. I don’t know about all that, but it tastes alright, specially when it’s got that cranberry kick to it. You can find it in them little bags, or sometimes loose, like the way my grandma used to make it. She used to say, “Ain’t nothin’ a good cuppa tea can’t fix.” Bless her heart.
- Taste: It ain’t too bitter like some green teas, and the cranberry gives it a little sweetness, a little tang. It’s kinda like… well, it’s hard to explain. You just gotta try it, I guess.
- Smell: It smells kinda fruity, with that green tea smell mixed in. Not too strong, just nice and pleasant. Reminds me a bit of them cranberry bogs back home, the smell in the air when they’re harvestin’.
Now, I heard some folks sayin’ cranberries are real good for ya. They say it helps with your pee-pee problems, keeps them infections away. And the green tea, that’s supposed to be good for your heart, and keep you from gettin’ sick. But you know, I take it all with a grain of salt. Too much of anything ain’t good for ya, that’s what I always say. I heard too many of them cranberries can give ya the runs, and nobody wants that.
Where to get this tea stuff? Shoot, you can find it pretty much anywhere these days. Them big stores, the little shops, even online, if you’re fancy like that. I saw some at the store the other day, all sorts of brands, some cheap, some not so cheap. Just gotta look around, find what you like. They got it in bags, loose leaf, even them little pod things for them fancy machines. I stick to the bags myself, easy to use, easy to clean up.
Making the tea ain’t rocket science. Just boil some water, put the bag in a cup, pour the water over it, and let it sit for a bit. How long? Well, that depends on how strong you like it. I like mine kinda strong, so I let it sit for a good few minutes. Then I take the bag out, and sometimes I put a little honey in it, if I’m feelin’ fancy. Or a little lemon, that’s good too. My neighbor, she puts milk in hers, but I ain’t so sure about that. To each their own, I guess.
Is it good for you, this cranberry green tea? Well, like I said, I ain’t no doctor, but I reckon it can’t hurt too much. Them cranberries got them vitamins and stuff, and the green tea, it’s got them antioxidants, whatever those are. But like I said, too much of anything ain’t good for ya. If you got some kinda health problem, or if you’re takin’ some kinda medicine, you best talk to your doctor before you start drinkin’ this stuff all the time.
Price? Well, it depends. Them fancy brands, they charge you an arm and a leg. But you can find some cheaper ones that taste just as good. I ain’t payin’ no ten dollars for a box of tea, I can tell you that much. I buy the stuff that’s on sale, or the store brand. It all tastes the same to me, mostly.
So, there you have it. That’s all I know about cranberry green tea. It’s a drink, it tastes kinda good, and it might be good for ya. Give it a try, see if you like it. If you don’t, well, that’s your business. But don’t come cryin’ to me if you drink too much and get the bellyaches. You been warned!
One more thing, if you’re on them blood thinners, the stuff they give ya if you got heart trouble, you might wanna be careful with them cranberries. I heard they can mess with that stuff. So, like I said, talk to your doctor, just to be safe.
And that’s all I got to say about that. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go make myself a cuppa tea.
