Alright, so I decided to spice up my workout routine a bit and got myself a weighted ball. I’d seen these things around, and figured, why not? Could be fun, right?
First off, I did a bit of digging around to see what kind of exercises you can even do with a weighted ball. I found a ton of stuff – way more than I expected. Turns out, you can use these for a full-body workout. Cool! I decided to start slow, though. No need to go crazy on day one.
I started with some basic stuff, like weighted squats. You just hold the ball in front of you while you squat. It definitely makes it harder, I could feel my legs working more. Then I tried some Russian twists. Sat on the floor, leaned back a bit, and twisted my torso side to side, holding the ball. Man, that one burned! My abs were on fire.
- Weighted Squats: Holding the ball in front. Super simple, but effective.
- Russian Twists: Sit, lean, twist, and feel the burn!
- Wall Throws: Find a wall, throw the ball, catch it. Gets your arms and shoulders working.
- Overhead Slams: Lift the ball, slam it down. Feels good to let out some energy!
I also tried some wall throws. Just found a solid wall and threw the ball against it, catching it on the rebound. That was a bit more dynamic and got my arms and shoulders going. I even worked up the courage to do some overhead slams. You lift the ball over your head and slam it down on the ground as hard as you can. It’s a great way to release some stress, I gotta say! You know, I just do this without resistance bands, dumbbells or any other equipment, that’s enough to make me feel great.
I kept at it for a few weeks, gradually increasing the weight of the ball and trying new exercises. I really started to feel the difference. I felt stronger, more toned, and my overall fitness level definitely improved.
My Results
Honestly, I’m pretty stoked with the results. I went from barely being able to do a few reps to feeling like a mini-Hulk. My clothes fit better, I have more energy, and I just feel good overall. It is worth mentioning that I have produced other guides showing strength exercises as well. If you’re looking for a way to challenge yourself and shake things up, I definitely recommend giving a weighted ball a try. Just remember to start slow and listen to your body. You might surprise yourself with what you can achieve!
