Okay, let me share my personal experience of making and using rosemary water for hair growth. It’s been quite a journey, and I’ve learned a lot along the way.
I first heard about the benefits of rosemary for hair a while back. It’s supposed to help with hair growth and reduce hair loss by strengthening those hair follicles and making your scalp healthier. Sounded good to me, so I decided to give it a try.
I started by gathering my ingredients. I grabbed some fresh rosemary from my garden – you can use dried ones too, but fresh is always better in my opinion. Then, I sometimes like to add a little almond oil or some dried lavender flowers. It’s not necessary, but I find it makes the whole process feel a bit more luxurious. I like to think of those as optional extras, and I think they made this part of my routine extra special.
Next, I boiled about two or three cups of water in a saucepan. Once it was boiling, I tossed in a handful of those rosemary sprigs. If you don’t have fresh rosemary, I read that you can use a few drops of rosemary essential oil instead. After adding the rosemary, I reduced the heat and let it simmer for a good 15-20 minutes. You’ll notice the water starts to take on a nice, herby aroma.
Once the simmering was done, I turned off the heat and let the mixture cool down completely. This is important – you don’t want to be pouring hot water on your head! After it cooled, I strained the liquid using a sieve to remove the rosemary leaves, leaving behind a lovely, fragrant rosemary water.
How I Store and Use It
I usually pour the rosemary water into a spray bottle for easy application. Then, I store it in the fridge to keep it fresh. I’ve read that it’s best to use it within two weeks, so I try to make a new batch every week or so.
As for how I use it, I simply spray it onto my scalp after washing my hair, while it’s still damp. I massage it in gently, making sure to cover my entire scalp. Sometimes, I’ll also spray a little on the lengths of my hair, just for good measure.
I’ve been doing this for a few months now, and I’ve definitely noticed some improvements. My hair feels a bit thicker, and I’ve noticed less hair fall, especially when brushing. Of course, everyone’s different, but for me, it’s been a worthwhile addition to my hair care routine.
- Boil water
- Add rosemary (and optional extras)
- Simmer and cool
- Strain and store
- Spray on scalp regularly
So, that’s my experience with making and using rosemary water for hair growth. It’s simple, natural, and seems to be doing wonders for my hair. If you’re looking for a natural way to boost your hair health, I’d say give it a shot!
