Okay, let’s talk about walnuts and hair. I’ve always been curious about natural ways to boost hair health, and I kept seeing things about nuts being good for your hair. So, I decided to give it a try, focusing on walnuts since they seemed to be mentioned a lot.
I started by just grabbing a bag of walnuts from the grocery store. I figured the easiest way to incorporate them was to just eat them as a snack. I aimed for about a handful each day, roughly 6 to 8 small pieces. I did this every single day.
- Day 1-7: Honestly, nothing noticeable happened the first week. I just munched on walnuts while working or watching TV. They tasted good, but my hair looked the same.
- Day 8-14: Still no major changes to my hair during the second week. I started to wonder if this whole walnut thing was just a myth. But I kept at it, adding them to my salads and sometimes having them with yogurt.
- Day 15-21: I feel my hair is getting a little bit stronger than before. It didn’t seem to be falling out as much in the shower. I got a bit excited and kept up with my daily walnut snack.
- Day 22-30: By the end of the month, I did notice a slight change. My hair felt a bit more resilient, maybe? It wasn’t a dramatic transformation, but it did seem a little healthier. I also started using almond oil once a week as a hair mask. I’d massage it into my scalp and hair, leave it on for about 30 minutes, and then wash it out.
My main method was to eat walnuts daily and use almond oil weekly. I guess the omega-3 fatty acids in the walnuts and the vitamin E in both the walnuts and almond oil were doing something good.

I continued this routine for a couple more months. The change wasn’t drastic, but I did feel like my hair was a bit thicker and didn’t break as easily. I wouldn’t say it’s a miracle cure, but I guess it did something. It felt good to be doing something proactive for my hair health, even if it was just a small change. Plus, walnuts are a tasty snack, so it wasn’t hard to stick with it. I think a balanced diet with a variety of nutrients is probably the best approach for healthy hair, and walnuts can definitely be a part of that.
