Okay, so I’ve been seeing a lot of talk online about whether you can use Dial antibacterial soap down there, in your private area. And let me tell you, I was curious too. So, I decided to give it a try myself and see what all the fuss was about. Here’s how it went down.
First things first, I did a bit of reading online. Some folks were saying it’s a big no-no, others were saying it’s fine as long as you’re careful. Most of what I read said that using any kind of soap inside the vagina is a bad idea. Apparently, it can mess with the natural balance of things. Health experts usually suggest just using water, or maybe a mild, unscented soap on the outer parts only. Not inside.
So, with that in mind, I grabbed my trusty bar of Dial antibacterial soap. I figured, I use this stuff on the rest of my body without any issues, so maybe it would be okay? I mean the Dial soap bottle said “it is gentle enough and won’t cause dryness”. I decided to only use it on the outside, just to be on the safe side. I hopped in the shower and started my usual routine. When it came time to wash down there, I carefully lathered up the Dial soap and gently washed the outer area. I made sure not to get any soap inside. I rinsed thoroughly with water, just like I always do.
After I got out of the shower, I paid close attention to how things felt. At first, everything seemed normal. But then, after a little while, I started to feel a bit of dryness. Nothing major, but definitely noticeable. I was like, “Hmm, maybe this wasn’t such a great idea after all.”
- Day 1: Felt a bit dry down there, but nothing too bad.
- Day 2: Dryness was a bit worse. Started to feel a little itchy.
- Day 3: Okay, now I’m definitely itchy. And it’s starting to feel irritated.
- Day 4: This is not fun. I regret everything. It’s super itchy, and I think I might have some sores.
By day four, I was seriously regretting my decision. I stopped using the Dial soap immediately and went back to my usual routine of just using water. But the damage was done. It took a few days for things to calm down and get back to normal. I was so relieved when it finally did.
My conclusion?
Don’t use Dial antibacterial soap on your private area. Even if you’re careful and only use it on the outside, it can still cause dryness and irritation. I learned that the hard way. My advice? Stick to water, or maybe a mild, unscented soap if you really feel like you need it. But definitely don’t use anything harsh or antibacterial. Trust me, your private parts will thank you for it.
Oh, and one more thing. If you do decide to try using something new down there, maybe do a patch test first. You know, just try it on a small area of skin and see how it reacts before you go all in. That’s what I should have done. Lesson learned!
