Alright, alright, let’s talk about this coconut butter face mask thing, you know, the stuff them young girls are always yappin’ about. I heard it’s good for your face, makes it all soft and glowy, like a baby’s bottom, they say. Don’t know much about fancy things, but I know a thing or two about keepin’ things simple and natural.
So, first things first, what is this coconut butter anyways? Well, it’s like, you know, coconut, but all mashed up and creamy-like. Thick and smooth, like good butter, but it smells like a tropical vacation, if you know what I mean. I ain’t never been on no vacation, but that’s what they say.
Now, why would you put this stuff on your face? Well, they say it’s got all these fancy fats in it, “fatty acids” they call ’em. Sounds complicated, but it just means it keeps your skin from gettin’ all dry and wrinkly. You know, like when the dirt in the garden gets all cracked up in the summer sun? Yeah, you don’t want your face lookin’ like that, that’s for sure.
- Kepps your face soft: This coconut butter, it keeps your face soft, like a baby’s bottom.
- Gets rid of wrinkles: And they say it helps with them wrinkles too. You know, the ones that show up when you laugh too much, or worry too much, or just get old, like me. Not that I’m worried about wrinkles, mind you. I earned every last one of ‘em.
- Keeps your face moist: It keeps things moist, that’s what they told me. Keeps your face from getting dried out like a prune. Ain’t nobody wants to look like a prune, now do they?
This “lauric acid” stuff, they say it’s in the coconut butter too. Sounds like some kinda chemical, but they say it’s natural. And it’s supposed to be good for killin’ the bad stuff on your skin, you know, the stuff that makes you break out. I ain’t had a breakout since I was a teenager, but I guess it’s good to keep things clean.
Alright, so how do you make this face mask? It ain’t rocket science, that’s for sure. You just get yourself some of that coconut butter – make sure it’s the real stuff, not that fake stuff with a bunch of junk in it. And then, well, you can just slap it right on your face, I guess. Or you can mix it with some other stuff, like that yogurt stuff they sell at the store. That’s supposed to make your skin bright, they say. Bright like a shiny penny.
I heard you gotta melt the coconut butter first, though. Makes it easier to spread, I reckon. Just put it in a little pot on the stove, low heat, mind you, don’t want to burn it. Once it’s all melted and gooey, you can mix it with whatever else you want, or just use it straight up. Just make sure it ain’t too hot before you put it on your face, don’t want to burn yourself now.
Then you just smear it all over your face, like you’re putting mud on a pig, I guess. But be gentle, you know? Don’t want to be rough with your face, gotta treat it nice. Leave it on for a bit, maybe 10, 15 minutes, let it do its thing. Then wash it off with warm water, and pat your face dry. And that’s it, I reckon.
Now, I ain’t no beauty expert, mind you. I’m just tellin’ you what I heard. But I figure, if it’s natural, and it keeps your skin soft and smooth, it can’t hurt to try. Better than puttin’ all them fancy chemicals on your face, that’s for sure. You never know what kind of junk they put in them things. And this coconut butter, smells good enough to eat, almost. Almost, I said. Don’t go eatin’ your face mask now.
So, there you have it. Coconut butter face mask, simple as pie. Give it a try, see if it works for you. If not, well, at least you’ll smell like a coconut, and that ain’t so bad. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed the chickens. Them birds get mighty hungry, you know.
One last thing, though. If you’re allergic to coconuts, don’t go slathering this stuff all over your face. That just wouldn’t be smart now, would it? Use your common sense, that’s what I always say. Common sense is more valuable than all the fancy book learnin’ in the world.
