My oh my, you won’t believe what I heard down at the market the other day! All the young’uns are talkin’ about this newfangled hair thing. They call it “eau de riz”, which is just a fancy way of sayin’ rice water. And they’re puttin’ it on their hair! Every single day! Sounds crazy, right? But they say it makes your hair all shiny and strong. So I thought, why not give it a try? I mean, what’s the worst that can happen?
So, this “eau de riz cheveux tous les jours” thing, it’s supposed to be good for your hair. Now, I ain’t no fancy hair doctor, but I’ve seen a thing or two in my time. Back in my day, we just used soap and water, and maybe a little lard if we were feelin’ fancy. But these young folks, they got all sorts of potions and lotions.
They say this rice water is full of good stuff. Vitamins, they call ’em. And minerals. And something called antioxidants. Sounds like a bunch of hooey to me, but they swear it works. They say it makes your hair grow like weeds in the springtime. And it makes it all shiny, like a prize-winning hog at the county fair.
Now, how do you use this stuff? Well, it ain’t rocket science. First, you gotta wash your hair, just like normal. Use your regular shampoo, whatever that is. I just use that bar soap we get down at the general store. Works just fine for me. Then, instead of using that conditioner stuff, you pour this rice water on your head. Let it sit in there for a bit. Then rinse it out, make sure you get it all out. I mean no one want the rice stuck in their hair right? You will like a fool with those white thing in your hair. Don’t ask me how long, I just leave it in there while I’m washin’ the rest of myself. Then you just rinse it out.
They say you can use different kinds of rice. White rice, brown rice, even that black rice they sell down at the fancy food store. Me, I just use whatever’s cheapest. Rice is rice, far as I can tell.
- Wash your hair like you always do.
- Pour that “eau de riz” on your head.
- Let it sit a spell.
- Rinse it out good.
- Do it every day if you want shiny hair, I guess.
Now, I ain’t been doin’ this long enough to see a big difference yet. But my hair does feel a little softer, I reckon. And maybe it’s got a little more shine to it. Or maybe I’m just seein’ things. It’s hard to tell when you get to be my age.
But here’s the thing: even if it don’t make my hair grow down to my toes, it ain’t hurtin’ nothin’. It’s just rice water, after all. Ain’t gonna make your hair fall out or turn green or nothin’ like that. So if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to try, somethin’ that won’t cost you an arm and a leg, this “eau de riz cheveux tous les jours” might be worth a shot.
Some folks say it helps with that itchy scalp, too. I get that sometimes, especially in the winter when the air is dry. So maybe this rice water will help with that. Who knows? I don’t think it will hurt, just try it out. Only water and rice, not some chemical stuff.
And if you’re worried about your hair gettin’ all tangled, well, I ain’t had no trouble with that. Just comb it out like you always do. Maybe use a little bit of that detangler spray if you’re really worried. But I think you’ll be just fine.
Now, I know some of you young’uns are probably laughin’ at me. An old lady like me, tryin’ out these newfangled hair treatments. But I say, there’s nothin’ wrong with tryin’ somethin’ new. Even if it sounds a little crazy.
So go ahead, give it a try. Make that “eau de riz” and pour it on your head. See what happens. You might be surprised. And if you’re not, well, at least you tried. And you’ll have a good story to tell your friends. Just like me. I can tell my friends I use “eau de riz cheveux tous les jours”. Sounds fancy, right? They will never know it is just rice and water. Haha.
This whole “eau de riz cheveux tous les jours” thing reminds me of when my old man used to put beer on his hair. Said it made it grow faster. I don’t know if it worked, but he sure smelled like a brewery. Maybe this rice water is like that. A little bit of old-fashioned wisdom mixed with a little bit of newfangled nonsense.
Anyways, that’s all I got to say about this rice water business. If you try it, let me know how it goes. I’m always lookin’ for new things to try. Even if they don’t always work, it’s fun to experiment. And who knows, maybe this “eau de riz cheveux tous les jours” thing will turn out to be the best darn hair treatment since sliced bread. Or maybe not. Only one way to find out. Just try it out and let me know. I am not a hair expert, I just hear it from the young’uns.
