Okay, so, I’ve been dealing with these squeaky knees for a while now. It’s not really painful, but it’s super annoying and sometimes a bit embarrassing. I started to notice it when I was going up and down the stairs, and then I heard that damn noise all the time when I was just bending down to pick something up.
First things first, I got into the habit of icing my knees. Nothing fancy, just grabbing some ice packs from the freezer and sticking them on my knees for about 15-20 minutes. I tried to do this a few times a day, especially after doing anything that made the squeaking worse. I was told that it helps a lot to reduce the pain and some random inflammation.
Then, I tried to give my knees a little massage. I just rubbed the muscles around my knees, kinda pushing towards my heart. It felt pretty good, and I think it helped to loosen things up a bit. I even watched a few video tutorials to see how to do it the right way, to not mess it up. I did that almost everyday before bed.
One other thing, I stopped sitting with my knees bent for too long. I used to sit like that all the time, like, for hours, when I was watching my shows, but apparently, it’s not great for your knees. So, I tried to change that and tried to change my position every 10 minutes or so, to give my knees a break and stretch my legs from time to time.
I also tried to incorporate some gentle stretches into my daily routine, which was a pain to keep doing daily to be honest. Just some simple stuff to keep my knees from getting too stiff. It wasn’t anything too intense, but it seemed to make a difference in how my knees felt overall. I just googled it and found something easy and did that every morning after waking up.
So, after a few weeks of doing all this, I did start to notice some improvement. My knees were still a bit squeaky, but it wasn’t as bad as before. And they definitely felt less stiff and more, I dunno, flexible?
Anyway, that’s my little story about dealing with squeaky knees. It’s not a miracle cure or anything, but these simple things did seem to help me out. I will keep doing that and will see how it will go in a few months. If you’re dealing with the same thing, maybe give these things a try. It’s all pretty easy stuff, and it might just make your knees feel a bit better.
