Today, I bought a pink stability ball. I’ve been wanting to get one of these for a while now because I heard they are good for core strength. So, I finally got one and tried it out today.
First, I tried just sitting on it. It’s harder than it looks! I felt my core muscles working right away. Then I tried to do some simple exercises. I looked up some easy exercises on the internet. They’re called stuff like “grasshopper” and “plank.” But man, those names are confusing.
- Grasshopper: I tried doing this “grasshopper” thing. You’re supposed to get on the ball somehow, and it’s supposed to work your whole body. I guess I got the whole body part right because I almost fell off!
- Plank: Then there was this “plank” thing. Basically, you put your legs on the ball and try to hold yourself up. My legs were shaking like crazy! I only lasted a few seconds.
- Leg curls: I saw some people do leg curls on the ball. It looked kind of fun, so I gave it a shot. It was okay.
- Russian Twists: These seemed tough, I saw someone rotating their body left and right, I guess that’s why it’s called a twist. I attempted to do it, and my core is burning!
After trying these exercises, I realized that this ball is no joke. Even just sitting on it is a workout. I can see how this thing can help with balance and posture. I’m gonna keep practicing with this pink ball. Hopefully, I’ll get better and maybe even be able to do those “grasshopper” things without falling over.
Overall
It was a fun and tiring experience. This stability ball thing is tougher than I thought, but I’m excited to keep using it and see what I can do.
