[Body]
Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this “will a std stop your period” thing. I ain’t no fancy doctor, but I’ve seen a thing or two in my days. Now, them STDs, they’re a nasty bunch, that’s for sure. But stop your period altogether? Hmm, I ain’t so sure ’bout that.
I heard tell that some of them STDs, like that chlamydia thing, they can mess with your insides. Not in a good way, mind you. They say it can cause all sorts of problems down there, itching and burning and whatnot. But missin’ your monthly visitor entirely? Seems a bit far-fetched to me.
Now, I’ve known gals who’ve had their periods go all wonky. Sometimes they’re early, sometimes they’re late, sometimes they skip a month or two altogether. But it ain’t always ’cause of some STD. Lots of things can throw your body outta whack. Stress, for one. Worryin’ about bills, or the kids, or that no-good husband of yours – that can sure mess with your cycle.
And then there’s bein’ sick. You know, a bad cold, or the flu. That can knock you on your rear end and make your period go haywire too. I remember one time, I had this terrible cough, coughed so hard I thought my insides were gonna come out. Sure enough, my period was late that month. So, it ain’t always somethin’ serious, you see.
- Stress
- Illness
- Medications
- Pregnancy
Now, if you’re worried about missin’ your period, the best thing to do is go see a doctor. Don’t be shy, they’ve seen it all before. They can tell you for sure if it’s an STD, or somethin’ else entirely. And if it is an STD, well, they can give you somethin’ to fix it. Ain’t no shame in gettin’ help, I always say.
But let’s get back to this STD thing. I heard some folks sayin’ that an infection might cause some “spotting” or bleeding after you’ve been with a man. Now, that ain’t your regular period, mind you. That’s somethin’ different. And it could be a sign that somethin’ ain’t right down there. So if you see anythin’ unusual, you best get yourself checked out.
And then there’s pregnancy. Now, that’ll definitely stop your period. But that ain’t an STD, unless… well, never mind about that. The point is, if you’re missin’ your period, and you’ve been with a man, you might wanna consider gettin’ a pregnancy test. You can get them at the drugstore now, ain’t gotta go to the doctor for that.
So, to sum it all up, I ain’t sayin’ an STD can’t cause some problems down there. But stoppin’ your period altogether? I ain’t convinced. There’s a whole heap of other things that can do that. The best thing to do is listen to your body. If somethin’ feels off, go see a doctor. Don’t be frettin’ and worryin’ yourself sick. And for goodness sake, be careful out there. These young folks these days, they don’t know nothin’ ’bout bein’ careful.
And one more thing, don’t go listenin’ to all them stories you hear from other folks. Everybody’s body is different. What happened to your neighbor’s cousin’s friend ain’t necessarily gonna happen to you. So, go get yourself checked out by a real doctor, and don’t listen to all the gossip and rumors.
Anyways, I gotta go now. Got a pot roast on the stove and it ain’t gonna cook itself. Just remember what I told ya, and take care of yourself. That’s the most important thing. You hear me? Good. Now, go on and get outta here.
