Okay, so the other day I was feeling super sluggish, you know, the usual afternoon slump but worse. I was talking to my friend about it, and she was like, “Maybe your iron’s low?” Honestly, I hadn’t even thought of that. So, like any normal person, I went straight to the internet to look up “low iron quiz.”
Diving into the Quiz
I found this quiz, I think it said it was only eight questions, which seemed pretty doable. It asked things like how often I feel tired, if I get winded easily, and if I crave weird stuff like ice. I don’t know why that would be related. My answers, I gotta say, were kinda making me think my friend might be right.
- Do I feel tired all the time? Yep, check.
- Shortness of breath? More than I’d like to admit.
- Pale skin? Always been on the fairer side, but maybe more so lately?
The quiz was kind of a wake-up call. After I answered all the questions, it gave me this result that basically screamed, “Girl, you need some iron!” It wasn’t like a diagnosis or anything, but it did mention that it is a good idea to see a doctor before starting any iron supplements. The quiz also mentioned something about menstruating women being more likely to have low iron, which, you know, makes sense I guess.
Next Steps
So yeah, I’m gonna make a doctor’s appointment soon, just to be sure. But in the meantime, I might try to eat more iron-rich foods. Spinach, red meat, that kind of stuff. Honestly, just taking that quiz made me more aware of how I’m feeling and what might be causing it. It is not a solution for sure, but, it’s a starting point, right?
Anyway, that’s my little adventure with the low iron quiz. If you’re feeling tired all the time, maybe it’s worth a shot? Just remember, I’m not a doctor, this is just my experience, so don’t take this as medical advice!
