Alright, so I had this problem, you know, with those pesky little things called lice. Yeah, not fun. So, I’m reading up on how to deal with them, and I see this thing about olive oil. I thought, “Olive oil? Really?” But hey, I was willing to try anything at that point.
First off, I grabbed my bottle of olive oil from the kitchen. Nothing fancy, just the regular stuff I use for cooking. Then, I started by dumping a good amount of it on my head. I mean, I really soaked my hair in it. It felt kinda weird and greasy, but I was determined.
After that, I covered my head with a shower cap. I wanted to make sure the oil stayed put and didn’t drip everywhere. I looked pretty silly, I’m not gonna lie, but who cares when you’re fighting off lice, right?
Now, the waiting game. I left the oil on for a few hours. Some people say overnight, but I figured a few hours should do the trick. During that time, I just went about my day, trying not to think too much about the oil party happening on my head.
Once the time was up, I hopped in the shower. I used my regular shampoo and washed my hair, not just once, but twice. I wanted to make sure all that oil was out. It took some effort, but eventually, my hair felt clean again.
The result? Well, it seemed to work, at least a little. I noticed fewer lice after that. But to be honest, it wasn’t a complete solution. I still had to use some over-the-counter treatment to really get rid of all of them. There are also some prescription treatments available. I guess I just didn’t get the right stuff.

Make sure you get every bit of your hair, or you will miss some.

You should wash and clean your clothes well. Soap, hot water, the whole nine yards. The dryer too.

Don’t use too much lice treatment. It can make your skin red.
Here are a few thoughts:
So, yeah, olive oil might help a bit with lice, but it’s not a magic cure. At least, it wasn’t for me. It’s more like a part of the process, I guess. Just my two cents on the whole olive oil and lice thing. It’s a messy job, but someone’s got to do it. If you try it be sure you take your time. And if you have any better tips on the matter, let me know!
