So, I’ve been having this knee pain lately, especially after wearing high heels. I love my heels, but man, my knees have been killing me afterward!
I started noticing it a few weeks ago. After a night out dancing in my favorite stilettos, I woke up the next day with this ache in both knees. At first, I thought it was just because I’d been dancing a lot. But then it happened again, and again, always after wearing heels.
It’s like this dull, constant pain, right in the front of my knees. Sometimes it feels a bit stiff, too. And if I try to kneel or squat, ouch! It’s way worse. I tried to put some ice on it, hoping it would help, but the relief didn’t last long.
I’m not a doctor or anything, but I figure it’s got something to do with the heels changing the way I stand. And maybe it’s putting more pressure on my knees? I did some googling, but man, that’s a rabbit hole of scary stuff.
Anyway, here’s what I did.
- First, I had to ditch the heels. I know, sad, right? But I switched to flats and comfy sneakers for a while.
- Iced my knees. Every time I felt the pain coming back, I put an ice pack on it for like 15-20 minutes.
- Rest, rest, rest. I tried to avoid activities that made the pain worse, like, you know, dancing the night away.
It took a bit, but slowly, the pain started to go away. I’m still taking it easy, not wearing heels too often, and when I do, I make sure they’re not too high and have some support.
I’m also trying to do some simple exercises to strengthen the muscles around my knees. I saw a video online about it and it didn’t seem too hard to do. I started to do some leg raises and stuff. I am feeling a little bit better now. I can walk without any pain now. But I will be careful next time when I wear heels.
So, yeah, that’s my knee pain story. If you’re having similar issues, maybe try these things. But, you know, I’m not a doctor, so maybe don’t take my word for it. Just sharing my experience here!
