Okay, here’s my blog post about cleaning sex toys:
So, I finally got around to cleaning my sex toys. Yeah, I know, it’s not the most glamorous thing to talk about, but hey, it’s gotta be done, right? And honestly, it’s not as bad as you might think. Plus, clean toys are happy toys, and happy toys make for happy times. So let’s get into it!
Gathering Supplies
First things first, I gathered all my toys. I laid them out on a clean towel – made sure to separate the electric ones from the others. I also grabbed some mild liquid soap, you know, the kind that doesn’t have any crazy perfumes or dyes, and a couple of soft washcloths. Oh, and I made sure I had a bowl of warm water ready. And most importantly, I took out all the batteries from those vibrators – don’t wanna fry those things!
The Cleaning Process
For the non-electric toys, it was pretty straightforward. I just lathered up the washcloth with some soap and warm water, and gave each toy a good scrub. I made sure to get into all the nooks and crannies, because, well, you know. After that, I rinsed them thoroughly under warm water until all the soap was gone. Easy peasy.
Now, for the electric ones, I had to be a bit more careful. I obviously couldn’t dunk them in water, so I used a damp, soapy washcloth to wipe them down. I made sure the washcloth wasn’t dripping wet, just damp enough to clean the surface. Again, I paid attention to any buttons or seams where gunk could hide.
Drying and Storage
Once everything was squeaky clean, I laid them all out on a fresh towel to air dry. For porous toys, it was a little difficult to clean and dry. Some of them are made of different materials. I just pat them dry as best as I could. And that’s pretty much it! Once they were completely dry, I popped the batteries back into the electric ones and put everything away in their designated storage. And that is all I want to share. It may not sound sexy, but it is needed.
- Tip 1: Always read the manufacturer’s instructions for cleaning your specific toys. Some might have special care requirements.
- Tip 2: If you’re unsure about whether a toy is porous or non-porous, err on the side of caution and clean it like it’s non-porous.
- Tip 3: Don’t forget to clean your toy storage containers too!
So yeah, that’s my sex toy cleaning routine. It’s simple, it’s effective, and it keeps my toys in tip-top shape for whenever the mood strikes. Trust me, your toys will thank you for it!
