Well, I gotta tell ya, taking care of your hair after you done had them fancy hair extensions put in can be a bit tricky. Now, I ain’t no expert or nothing, but I do know a thing or two about hair. First off, you gotta remember that hair don’t heal up overnight, no sir. If your hair ain’t lookin’ or feelin’ right after takin’ them extensions out, don’t go expectin’ miracles right away. It might take some time, a good long while even. Took me almost a whole year before I could finally say my hair felt like its old self again. But, once it did, I was more careful with it than a hen sittin’ on her eggs!
Now, let’s talk about them extensions. You see, when you put them in, your natural hair gets all tangled up with the glue or them keratin bonds, and when you take ‘em out, your real hair might shed a little. That’s normal, mind you, don’t go panicking. It’s just how things go when them extensions come off. But, you gotta be gentle when you comb it. Don’t go grabbing no big ol’ comb right off the bat, no. You gotta take your fingers and slowly run through them tangles first. That way, you won’t be pullin’ out more hair than you need to. Trust me on this one!
If your hair’s feelin’ dry after them extensions come off, well, you might want to give it some love. I always used a nice sulfate-free shampoo when I washed it. None of them harsh chemicals, no ma’am. And if you got some deep conditioner lying around, go ahead and put some on your hair, let it soak in good. You can also try a leave-in conditioner, helps keep that hair soft and shiny. Now, don’t go thinkin’ you gotta blow dry your hair or use no fancy tools to dry it. Just let it air dry, that’s the safest way. Heat damage is a real problem, and you don’t wanna mess with that!
Now, I don’t care how much hair you think you lost, it’s gonna be fine, honey. Some of that hair that came out, it was just trapped in them bonds or glue, that’s all. When them extensions come out, some of that hair’s gotta go with it, but that don’t mean your hair is ruined. You just gotta take the time to treat it right, that’s all. If you got any split ends, well, it’s time to grab them scissors and snip ‘em off. Ain’t no use holdin’ onto damaged hair. Once you cut off them bad ends, your hair will be able to grow back strong and healthy.
Don’t forget, if you want your hair to stay nice after them extensions, you gotta be patient and treat it with care. No rushin’ things. It might take some time, but you’ll get there, and when you do, your hair will thank you for it.
