Alright, let me tell ya somethin’ ’bout this groundnut oil. Folks say it’s good for your skin, you know? Like, real good.
They say it’s got this thing called Vitamin E in it. Don’t know much ’bout vitamins, but they say it makes your skin soft and smooth. Like a baby’s bottom, I guess. Heard it helps with them wrinkles too, you know, the ones that make you look all old and tired.
And somethin’ about “moisturizin’.” My grandbaby, she always talkin’ about moisturizin’. Says her skin gets all dry and flaky if she don’t. Well, this groundnut oil, they say it keeps your skin from gettin’ dry. Keeps it nice and supple, like.
It goes deep, they say. Not just on the top, but way down in your skin. Like waterin’ a plant, I reckon. Gotta get the water down to the roots, ain’t that right?
- Helps with scars, they tell me. You know, if you got a scratch or somethin’.
- And them little spots on your skin, the ones that come with age? Might help with those too.
Now, I ain’t no doctor, mind you. But I heard tell it even helps with them skin problems, like that eczema stuff. My neighbor’s boy, he had it somethin’ fierce. Poor little fella was scratchin’ all the time. Maybe this oil coulda helped him.
But then, some folks say it ain’t all good. Somethin’ about “omega-6” somethin’ or other. They say too much of it ain’t good for ya. Makes things swell up inside, or somethin’. Honestly, I don’t know what to believe half the time.
And they say it’s good for cookin’ too, this oil. Fryin’ and such. But they also say there’s this other oil, palm oil, that ain’t so good for ya. Too much fat, they say. Gotta watch your cholesterol, you know. Makes your heart all tired.
So, how do you use this groundnut oil? Well, you just rub it on your skin, like lotion. Or mix it in with your regular lotion, if you got some. You can put it on your hair too, they say. Makes it all shiny and healthy lookin’.
I tell ya, it’s hard to keep up with all this stuff. One day somethin’s good for ya, the next day it ain’t. But this groundnut oil, it seems like folks been usin’ it for a long time. Must be somethin’ to it, right?
Maybe you should try it yourself, see if it works for you. Just rub a little on your skin, see how it feels. If it makes your skin soft and smooth, well then, there you go. If it don’t, well, at least you tried.
But like I said, I ain’t no doctor. Just an old woman sharin’ what I heard. You gotta do your own research, talk to your doctor, and all that. Don’t just take my word for it.
Anyways, that’s all I got to say ’bout groundnut oil. Hope it helps ya somehow.
