Alright, let’s talk about this ghee tea thing. I heard folks talkin’ about it, so I figured, why not? Sounds kinda fancy, but it ain’t nothin’ too complicated, ya know.
So, what is this ghee tea, huh? Well, it’s just tea, the kind you drink every mornin’, but with a spoonful of somethin’ called “ghee” in it. Now, this ghee, it’s like butter, but all melted down and cleaned up. They say it’s good for ya, helps ya stay full and maybe even lose some weight. Who knows if that’s true, but I’m always up for tryin’ somethin’ new.
How to Make This Ghee Tea
Makin’ it is easy as pie. First, you make your tea, just like always. Don’t go puttin’ no sugar or milk in it, though. Then, you take a spoonful or two – they say two teaspoons, but I just eyeball it – of that ghee and dump it right in. Stir it up good, and that’s it. It gets all kinda creamy and smells a little nutty, which ain’t too bad.
- Make your tea, the usual way.
- No sugar, no milk, hear me?
- Spoon in the ghee, about two teaspoons or so.
- Stir it up good.
- Drink it while it’s warm.
Now, why would anyone put butter in their tea, you might ask? Well, some folks say it helps with that keto thing, you know, that diet where you don’t eat much sugar and such. They say the ghee gives you good fats and keeps you from gettin’ hungry. And it’s supposed to help your brain work better, too. I tell ya, if my old brain needs somethin’ to help it out these days!
I ain’t no doctor, but I reckon it can’t hurt too much to try. I mean, it tastes alright, kinda rich and warm, good for a cold mornin’. And if it keeps me from snackin’ all day, well, that’s a bonus, ain’t it? I swear, sometimes I feel like I could eat a whole cow between meals.
Some folks even start their day with just warm water and ghee. They say it cleans you out or somethin’. I tried it once, didn’t care for it much. I like my tea, even if it’s got butter in it now. You can even add some turmeric, that yellow spice, to it, makes it even healthier, they say. But I ain’t tried that yet, maybe next time.
This ghee tea, it reminds me a little bit of that Tibetan butter tea. I saw it on TV once, those folks up in the mountains drinkin’ somethin’ similar. Guess they know a thing or two about stayin’ warm and full. I tell ya, life up in those mountains ain’t easy, you need somethin’ hearty to keep you goin’. I reckon this ghee tea is good for that too.
Anyways, I been drinkin’ this ghee tea for a little while now, and I ain’t turned into no skinny supermodel yet, but I do feel a little bit better, maybe a little more pep in my step. Or maybe it’s just the change of pace. Either way, it ain’t hurtin’ nothin’. And it’s kinda fun to try new things, keeps you from gettin’ too set in your ways. You know what they say, you gotta keep movin’ or you’ll start gatherin’ moss.
So, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ different to try in the mornin’, give this ghee tea a whirl. It ain’t gonna change your life overnight, but it might just make you feel a little bit better. And who knows, maybe you’ll even lose a pound or two. Just don’t expect miracles, alright? Life ain’t that easy. But a warm cup of tea with a little somethin’ extra, well, that’s always a good thing.
And remember, get the good kind of ghee, they say grass-fed is the best. I don’t know much about cows, but if they say it’s better, I guess it is. It’s like my old grandpappy used to say, quality matters, even in a cup of tea!
