So, I had this annoying wart on my finger for the longest time. Tried a bunch of over-the-counter stuff, but it just wouldn’t go away. Then, I stumbled upon some articles about using essential oils for warts. Figured, why not give it a shot?
First thing I did was grab some oregano oil. I read somewhere that it’s pretty strong, so you gotta be careful with it. I mixed it with some coconut oil because I heard that pure oregano oil can burn your skin if you don’t dilute it. I’m no expert, but that made sense to me.
Next, I cleaned the wart and the area around it. Then, using a cotton swab, I carefully applied the oil mixture directly onto the wart. I tried my best to avoid the surrounding skin. After that, I covered it up with a band-aid.
- Day 1-3: Honestly, I didn’t notice much of a difference. The wart looked the same, maybe a little irritated.
- Day 4-7: Okay, now we’re talking! The wart started to darken and seemed like it was drying out. It was a little bit tingly, but nothing too bad.
- Day 8-14: It kept getting darker and smaller. Parts of it even started to flake off. I was pretty stoked!
- Day 15-20: Almost gone! Just a tiny little bump left where the wart used to be.
I kept up the routine, applying the oil mixture twice a day. And guess what? After about three weeks, that stubborn wart was completely gone! I couldn’t believe it. It was like a little victory dance for my finger.
I just kept going until there was nothing left and the skin looked normal again. I did see that there are some salicylic acid solutions at 17% that you can buy, but I didn’t try these out.
Now, I’m not saying this is a miracle cure or anything. And I’m definitely not a doctor. But for me, using essential oils worked like a charm. Just remember to dilute the oregano oil and be patient. It took a few weeks, but it was totally worth it to get rid of that pesky wart!
