Alright, so, I’ve been on this whole “new me” kick lately, and one thing I really wanted to work on was slimming down my face a bit. I’ve always had these chubby cheeks that make me look like I’m still 12, so I figured, why not give it a shot? Here’s how it went down.
Starting Out
First off, I did some digging online to see what exercises people were doing for cheek slimming. I found a bunch of stuff, from making funny faces to doing all sorts of weird stretches. I decided to keep it simple and pick a few that seemed doable.
The Routine
I started incorporating these exercises into my daily routine. Here’s what I did:
- The Duck Face: Sounds silly, I know, but you basically pucker your lips like you’re about to give a kiss and then open and close your mouth. I did this for about 30 seconds, take a little break, and then repeat it a few times.
- Cheek Lifts: This one’s a bit trickier. I smiled as wide as I could without opening my lips and then tried to lift my cheek muscles towards my eyes. I held it for a few seconds, relaxed, and repeated. It felt a bit awkward at first, but I got the hang of it.
- Jaw Flex: For this one, I pushed my lower jaw forward until I felt a stretch under my chin, held it for a few seconds, and then relaxed. I repeated this a few times as well.
I did these exercises every morning and night, usually while I was doing my skincare routine. It was pretty easy to fit them in, and honestly, it was kind of fun once I got used to it.
Keeping It Up
Besides the exercises, I also tried to watch what I ate. I didn’t go on any crazy diets, but I did try to cut back on salty foods since I heard they can make your face look puffy. And, of course, I made sure to drink plenty of water because everyone says that’s good for you.
I also started doing some light cardio, like brisk walking, a few times a week. Nothing too intense, just enough to get my heart rate up a bit.
The Results
Honestly, it took a while to see any real changes. I’d say after about a month of consistently doing the exercises and being mindful of my diet, I started to notice my cheeks looking a bit less round. It wasn’t a dramatic change, but it was enough to keep me motivated.
Now, a few months in, I can definitely say my face looks slimmer. It’s not a huge difference, but my jawline is a bit more defined, and my cheeks aren’t as puffy as they used to be. I’ve even gotten a few compliments, which is always nice!
So, that’s my story about trying to slim down my cheeks. It wasn’t a quick fix, but with some patience and effort, I managed to see some results. If you’re thinking about trying it, I’d say go for it! Just be consistent and don’t expect miracles overnight.
