Okay, so, I’ve been experimenting with cupping therapy lately, and I gotta say, it’s been an experience. I decided to give it a shot because, well, why not? I heard some good things, and I’m always up for trying new things, especially when it comes to wellness and taking care of my body.
I booked an appointment with a therapist. Stepped into the room, and there they were—the cups. Different sizes, all lined up. It felt a bit intimidating, but hey, I was there already, so no turning back. I hopped onto the table, and the therapist started explaining the process. I tried to pay attention, but honestly, I was just staring at those cups, wondering how this was going to work.
The therapist applied oil to my skin—that much I remember. Then came the cups. They used some kind of pump to create suction. The first cup went on, and whoa, it felt weird. Like a strong pull, but not painful. Then another one, and another, until my back was covered in these little domes. I laid there, trying to relax, but my mind was racing. I mean, I was basically a human octopus at that point.
After some time—honestly, I lost track—the therapist removed the cups. The suction released with a little pop sound. I sat up slowly and looked at my back in a mirror. There they were, these round, red marks. I looked like I’d been in a fight with a giant octopus and lost, but I also had heard that it will disappear in a week or two.
Here’s the deal with those marks:
- They’re not bruises, technically.
- It’s basically blood being drawn to the surface.
- The darker the mark, the more “stuff” was supposedly stuck there.
I took a shower, and I tried gently massaging the areas with the marks. The therapist recommended it, saying it helps with circulation and might make the marks fade quicker. I also tried using a warm compress—again, to improve circulation.
The next day, the marks were still there, maybe a bit lighter. I remembered reading about some home remedies for dark spots, so I got creative. I found a pineapple and papaya in my fridge, so I made a pineapple and papaya mask. I applied it to the marks, hoping for some magic. Then, I also tried lemon juice—another home remedy I read about. I know it’s supposed to help with dark spots on your face, so I figured, why not on my back?
It’s been a few days, and the marks are definitely fading. They’re still there, but they’re not as intense. Honestly, I don’t know if the home remedies made a huge difference, but they didn’t hurt. I’ll keep monitoring and maybe try a few more things. Overall, it was a pretty interesting experience. I have experienced the whole procedure about the cupping and I successfully made the dark spots fade in a week or two by some methods!
