Okay, here we go. So, I’ve been trying out this carnivore diet thing along with some fasting, and I gotta say, it’s been a wild ride. I started off thinking, “Meat and water? That’s it?” Yeah, sounds pretty basic, right? But I was curious, so I dove in.
Getting Started
First thing I did was ease into it. I didn’t just wake up one day and say, “No more anything but meat!” Nah, I started by cutting out one non-meat thing at a time from my meals. Like, one week I ditched bread, the next week it was pasta, and so on, until all that was left were animal products. And to keep it interesting, I mixed up the meats I was eating – beef one day, chicken the next, some fish, some eggs. You get the idea.
The Meaty Part
So, once I was fully on the carnivore train, it was all about meat, meat, and more meat. I kept it simple, mainly because I’m not a gourmet chef or anything. I just cooked up different meats and made sure I was drinking plenty of water. I did notice I started feeling fuller after meals, which was pretty cool. Less snacking for sure.
- Breakfast: Usually some bacon and eggs.
- Lunch: Leftover steak or some chicken.
- Dinner: Maybe a pork chop or some fish.
Adding in Fasting
Then came the fasting. Now, I’m no fasting expert, but I figured, why not try it out? I started with shorter fasts, like skipping breakfast and not eating until lunchtime. Then I stretched it out a bit longer, sometimes not eating until dinner. It wasn’t about starving myself, but more about giving my body a break from digesting all that meat, you know?
Feeling the Effects
Honestly, I felt pretty good. I had energy, I wasn’t hungry all the time, and yeah, I even lost a bit of weight. It wasn’t like I was dropping pounds like crazy, but my clothes did start fitting better. And I noticed I was feeling stronger, especially when I hit the gym.
Working Out
Speaking of the gym, I kept up with my workouts. I figured moving my body was just as important as what I was putting into it. I did my usual stuff – some weights, some cardio. And you know what? I think the diet helped me build some muscle. I wasn’t aiming to be a bodybuilder, but I definitely felt more toned.
Wrapping It Up
So, that’s my carnivore diet and fasting experiment in a nutshell. It was a bit of a challenge at times, but overall, I’m glad I tried it. I learned a lot about my body and what it needs. Will I stick with it forever? Who knows. But for now, I’m enjoying the ride and feeling pretty darn good.
