Okay, so, freckles, right? I’ve always had them, ever since I was a kid. They kinda pop out more when I’m out in the sun a lot, which, you know, happens.
I mean, some people think they’re cute, but I just wanted to see if I could fade them a little, or get rid of them.
I did some digging and saw that sunlight, especially those UV rays, is a big deal for freckles. Basically, your skin’s like, “Whoa, sun!” and starts making more melanin to protect itself. And that’s what makes freckles show up more, or get darker, or whatever.
My Little Experiment
So, I thought, why not try a few things? Nothing crazy, just some stuff I already had around the house.
- Lemon Juice: I heard that lemon juice could help because it has citric acid. I squeezed some fresh lemon juice, diluted it with a bit of water, and then dabbed it on my freckles with a cotton ball. I did this every other day for like two weeks.
- Apple Cider Vinegar: This one was another thing I saw online. It has malic acid, which is supposed to help exfoliate your skin, whatever that means. I tried this the same way as the lemon juice – diluted it with water and applied it to my freckles. I did this one every other day too, but on the days I wasn’t using the lemon juice.
- Sunscreen: Okay, this one’s obvious, but I figured it was worth a shot. I started using a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 50, whenever I went outside. I applied it, you know, like they tell you, a thick layer, on the skin of my face.
Did It Work?
Honestly, the lemon juice and apple cider vinegar were a bit of a hassle. They didn’t really seem to do much after two weeks, and my skin felt a little irritated sometimes. But I didn’t give up yet.
I kept using the sunscreen, religiously. And you know what? After a couple of months, I think my freckles did start to look a bit lighter. It wasn’t like they disappeared completely, but they were definitely less noticeable.
I guess the biggest takeaway for me was that sunscreen is actually super important, not just for fading freckles, but for your skin in general. I’m definitely going to keep using it, even if my freckles don’t completely go away. It’s just good sense, you know?
I tried some natural way to fade my freckles. It is not easy, but sunscreen is the most useful way. I will keep applying sunscreen every day, hope my freckles will disappear.
