Okay, so, I tried that honey peel-off face mask thing everyone’s talking about. I mean, I saw it everywhere online, and my skin has been kinda meh lately, so I thought, why not?
First, I got all my stuff together. Honey, obviously, and then some other things like a bowl and a spoon. I also grabbed a brush that I usually use for painting. I made sure that my face is clean before I started.
Then, I mixed the honey. I just used regular honey from my kitchen. I didn’t really measure it, just eyeballed it until it looked like enough for my face.
Next, I applied the honey to my face with the brush. It was super sticky and kinda messy, but it felt weirdly good. I put on a pretty thick layer and avoided my eyes and eyebrows ’cause I didn’t want to, you know, rip them off.
- It was at this point that I realized I should probably have tied my hair back first.
- Oh well, live and learn, right?
After that, I just waited. The instructions I found online said to wait for about 20-30 minutes, so I just chilled and watched some videos on my phone. It started to feel tight on my face as it dried, which was kinda cool.
Once the time was up, I started to peel it off. I grabbed an edge near my chin and slowly pulled. It came off pretty easily, which was a relief. It didn’t hurt too much, just a little sting in some spots, like when you take off a bandaid.
And the results?
Honestly, my skin felt super soft afterward! It was kinda surprising. It also looked a bit brighter, which was a nice bonus. I don’t know if it did anything amazing, but it was a fun little experiment.
Would I do it again? Maybe. It’s a cheap and easy way to pamper yourself, and my skin did feel nice afterward. Just make sure you tie your hair back first, haha!
Anyway, that’s my experience with the honey peel-off mask. Have you guys tried it? Let me know what you think!
