Okay, so I saw this thing online about using baby powder in your hair, and I was like, “What? No way!” But my hair gets greasy super fast, and I was desperate. So, I decided to give it a shot.
I grabbed my baby’s powder – yeah, I have a little one, and I started by sprinkling a little bit on my hands. I was kinda nervous, not gonna lie. Then, I rubbed my hands together and started working it into my roots, where my hair gets oiliest. It felt weird, like I was putting flour in my hair or something.
- First, I just used a little bit of powder, and it didn’t really do much. My hair still looked kinda greasy.
- So, I added a bit more, and massaged it in really good. I made sure to lift my hair up and get the powder all the way down to my scalp.
- Then I brushed it through with a hairbrush, trying to distribute the powder evenly. I didn’t want any white patches or anything.
Honestly, it was a bit messy. I got powder all over my shirt and the bathroom counter. And it took some time to really work it in and make sure it wasn’t visible. But after a few minutes of brushing and shaking out my hair, I was surprised.
My hair looked… better. It wasn’t as shiny and greasy as before. It actually looked kinda fresh, like I had just washed it. And it felt lighter, too, not weighed down by all the oil.
My Verdict
Would I do it again? Maybe. It’s not a perfect solution, and it’s definitely not as convenient as regular dry shampoo. But for a quick fix, in a pinch, it did the job. And it’s way cheaper than those fancy dry shampoos. Plus, it made my hair smell like a baby, which is kinda nice, I guess.
It’s not gonna replace washing my hair, obviously. Some people told me that I can use apple cider vinegar to wash my hair, it can last longer to keep my hair clean. But that’s for another experiment. Baby powder is more like a temporary band-aid. But hey, sometimes a band-aid is all you need, right?
