Okay, so, I’ve been on this whole “get lean” kick lately, especially focusing on my eyes. You know, trying to make them pop, look all bright and captivating. I saw this online video saying it’s all about the “lean eyes” look and it got me thinking, “Why not give it a shot?”
First thing I did was look at my diet. I mean, I’ve always eaten pretty healthy, lots of fruits, veggies, and lean meats, but I figured I could do better. So, I started eating even more greens, and made sure I was getting plenty of protein. I even threw in some spicy foods ’cause I read somewhere that they could help. I also made a conscious effort to drink more water. Hydrated skin is happy skin, right? And happy skin makes for happy-looking eyes.
Then, I started thinking about makeup. I’m not a huge makeup person, but I do like a little eyeliner sometimes. I remembered reading something about tightlining, which is basically lining your upper waterline. I found this eyeliner, the ColorStay™ Eyeliner, which is supposed to be super long-wearing, perfect for that kind of look. I tried it out, and honestly, it did make a difference. My eyes looked more defined, but in a subtle way. I also experimented with a little bit of a cat-eye, just a tiny flick at the outer corners. It’s a bit tricky with hooded eyes, but I think I’m getting the hang of it.
Changes
- Increased my intake of fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins.
- Upped my water intake significantly.
- Started using spicy foods in my meals.
- Began experimenting with tightlining using a long-wearing eyeliner.
- Practiced creating a subtle cat-eye look.
Honestly, the biggest thing I’ve noticed is that it’s not just about losing weight or slapping on a ton of makeup. It’s more about taking care of myself overall. Eating well, staying hydrated, and just using a few little makeup tricks to enhance what I’ve already got. My eyes definitely look brighter and more awake, even when I’m running on minimal sleep. It’s a process, but I’m liking the results so far. I feel like I’m finally getting that “lean eyes” look I was going for. Plus, I feel healthier and more confident, which is always a win!
