I was thinking about my health recently, especially about eating enough protein.
So, I did a bit of research on how to easily add more protein to my meals. It is really important for me to keep my muscles strong and help my body work better.
I started simple, I’ve been eating eggs instead of cereal for breakfast, which really helped to increase my protein in the morning. It’s an easy change, and eggs are pretty versatile, so I can cook them in different ways.
Then, I started to prepare for my meals for the whole week. I cooked a bunch of chicken breasts and some fish on Sunday. This way, I always have some protein ready to go. I just grab it from the fridge, heat it up, and add it to my meals. Also, I made sure to add some protein to every meal and snack.
- Snacking on cheese instead of chips.
- Adding cow’s milk to my smoothies.
- Using Greek yogurt instead of regular yogurt in my snacks and some recipes.
I have also been drinking protein shakes, especially after workouts. It’s a quick way to get protein into my body when I need it fast. By doing these things, I’ve noticed I feel more energized throughout the day. I also feel like I’m making progress in the gym because my muscles have the protein they need to grow.
I know everyone’s body is different, but these small changes have made a big difference for me. It’s not about being perfect, but just making an effort to get a bit more protein each day.
Key point:
Start the day with protein, prep meals ahead of time, and include protein in every meal and snack. If you’re looking to improve your health, maybe give these tips a try. It might seem like a lot at first, but once you get the hang of it, it’s not that hard.
Oh, and why I suddenly started to care about protein? Cause my friend suddenly got into the hospital a few weeks ago. He is young, just over 30 years old, but he had been too busy working and did not have time to eat. Then he started feeling weak, and eventually, he had to go to the hospital. His problem is lacking protein. That scared me and I decided to make a change.
And, that’s my experience about protein. Hope it helps!
