I’ve been hitting the pavement for a while now, mostly because I wanted to shed some pounds. But, you know, I also wondered if running could help slim down my face a bit. My cheeks have always been a bit chubby, and I thought maybe all that jogging could help.
So, I started running regularly. I mean, I wasn’t training for a marathon or anything, just a decent jog a few times a week. I started with short distances and gradually increased them as I got fitter. It was tough at first, but I stuck with it.
- Week 1-4: I focused on consistency. I ran three times a week, for about 20-30 minutes each time. I didn’t notice any changes in my face, but I definitely felt better overall.
- Week 5-8: I upped my game a bit. I started running for longer periods, around 45 minutes, and even added some hills to my routes. I was really pushing myself. My face still looked the same, but my clothes were starting to fit better.
- Week 9-12: I kept at it, maintaining my routine. I wasn’t seeing much change in my face, but I was losing weight overall. I decided to pay more attention to my diet, too. I cut down on junk food and started eating more fruits and veggies.
Did Running Slim Down My Face?
Well, after three months, I can say that running didn’t directly make my face thinner. However, I did lose weight overall, and that made my face appear a bit less round. It wasn’t a drastic change, but it was noticeable to me. I guess those articles online are right – you can’t really target fat loss in specific areas.
So, if you’re hoping to slim down your face by running, it might not work directly. But running can help you lose weight overall, and that might indirectly affect your face. Plus, running has so many other benefits, like improving your cardiovascular health and boosting your mood. It’s definitely worth it, even if it doesn’t give you a chiseled jawline overnight.
