Alright, so I’ve been messing around with rose water for a while now, and let me tell you, my oily skin and I have been through a lot together. I heard a lot of good things about this stuff, so I figured, why not give it a shot?
First off, I went and got myself some rose water. Nothing fancy, just the regular kind you can find anywhere. I started using it after I washed my face in the morning and at night. I’d just pour a little bit onto a cotton pad and gently wipe my face with it. Kind of like a toner, you know?
At first, I didn’t really notice much. My skin felt a bit fresher, sure, but the oiliness? Still there. But I kept at it, figuring it might take some time to see real results.
After a couple of weeks, though, I started to see a difference. My face wasn’t as shiny as it used to be by midday. It felt… balanced. That’s the best way I can describe it. Like, the oil was still there, but it wasn’t out of control. And my pores? They seemed a little tighter, a little less noticeable.
- It’s super gentle. My skin can be sensitive sometimes, but the rose water never irritated it. It even helped calm down some redness I had going on.
- It felt refreshing. Especially in the mornings, it was a nice little pick-me-up for my skin.
- It actually helped control the oil. Like I said, it didn’t make my oily skin disappear, but it definitely made it more manageable.
Here’s what I really liked:
I also read somewhere that rose water can help with dark circles and sunburns, but I haven’t really tried it for that yet. Maybe I will sometime. It’s also supposed to be antibacterial, which is great because I sometimes get breakouts. I think it might have helped keep those at bay, too.
So, yeah, that’s my experience with rose water and oily skin. I started slow, used it like a toner, and saw some good results over time. My skin feels more balanced and less oily, and it’s super gentle, too. It might work differently for you, but if you’re struggling with oily skin, I think it’s definitely worth a try. Just be patient and see how your skin reacts.
