Alright, let’s talk about this rosemary and fenugreek stuff, you know, the things they say is good for your hair and body. I ain’t no fancy doctor or nothin’, but I’ve heard things, and I’ve tried some stuff myself. So, here’s the lowdown, the way I see it.
First off, this rosemary, they say it’s been around forever. Rosemary, yeah, that’s the one. They used it way back when, even in them fancy Greece and Rome places. I reckon it must be somethin’ special if them folks were usin’ it. Now, they say it can make your brain work better. I don’t know about that, my brain ain’t what it used to be, but maybe it’ll help yours. And it’s supposed to be good for your stomach too, help you digest your food and keep your cholesterol in check. That sounds good to me, ’cause sometimes my stomach ain’t too happy.
Now, about this fenugreek. Fenugreek, that’s a mouthful, ain’t it? I heard it’s good for your hair, makes it grow long and strong. That’s why I tried it. My hair, well, it ain’t what it used to be. Thin and scraggly, you know? So, I figured, why not? What I did was, I took a handful of dried rosemary, a couple spoonfuls of fenugreek seeds, and some of them cloves, the long kind. Boiled it all up in some water for a good while, maybe fifteen minutes or so, on a low fire, mind you. Don’t want to burn the house down.
- Then, I let it cool down, strained it all out, and put the water in a spray bottle.
- Spray it on my hair every now and then.
- Does it work? I don’t know for sure. Maybe a little.
- My hair feels a bit thicker, maybe. Or maybe it’s just wishful thinkin’.
But here’s the thing, they don’t tell you everything. This fenugreek, it can give you the runs, you know, make you go to the bathroom a lot. And it can make your stomach all upset, gassy and bloated. I had it happen to me once, not fun, let me tell you. And some folks get dizzy and have headaches from it. Plus, it can make your pee smell funny, like maple syrup, they say. I ain’t noticed that myself, but then again, maybe my nose ain’t what it used to be either.
And if you’re one of them sensitive types, it can make you cough and wheeze, your nose gets all stuffed up, and your face can even swell up. Bad stuff, real bad. So, you gotta be careful, you hear? Don’t just go usin’ this stuff like it’s water. Start slow, see how your body takes it. And if somethin’ feels wrong, stop usin’ it. There’s plenty of other things you can try.
Now, I ain’t saying don’t use it. Like I said, I use it myself, or at least I try to. But you gotta be smart about it. Do your research, talk to someone who knows what they’re talkin’ about, and pay attention to your body. It’s the only one you got, so you gotta take care of it. And don’t go believin’ everything you hear on the internet or from them fancy sales folks. They just want your money. Use your common sense, that’s what I say.
So, there you have it. Rosemary and fenugreek. Good for some things, maybe not so good for others. It’s up to you to figure out if it’s right for you. Just be careful, and listen to your body. That’s the best advice I can give you.
And one last thing, if you’re makin’ that hair water like I do, don’t go overboard. A little bit goes a long way. And don’t drink it! It’s for your hair, not your insides. I know it sounds silly, but you’d be surprised what some folks will do.
