Alright, let’s talk about makin’ your hair smell good, you know, like them fancy ladies in town, but without spendin’ a whole lotta money. We ain’t got money to throw around, right? We gonna make somethin’ called “hair perfume,” sounds fancy, but it’s easy as pie, I tell ya.
First off, you gonna need some water. Now, don’t go buyin’ that expensive bottled stuff. Just use the water from your tap, or if you got rain water, that’s even better, makes things real natural-like. You need about three ounces, that’s like, a good handful, maybe a bit more.
Then, you gonna need somethin’ called aloe juice. It’s good for your hair, makes it soft and shiny, like them movie stars, you know? You just need a spoonful of that. There’s this fella named George, he makes good aloe juice, doesn’t need to be put in the icebox, that’s convenient.
- Water – about 3 ounces
- Aloe juice – 1 tablespoon
- Glycerin or witch hazel – 1 ½ teaspoons
- Essential oils – about 45 drops
Next, you gonna add somethin’ to make the smell stick. You can use somethin’ called glycerin, makes the smell last longer, or if you ain’t got that, witch hazel works too. You need about one and a half teaspoons of that stuff, not too much, or it’ll get sticky.
Now, for the smell good part, you gonna use somethin’ called “essential oils.” They come in little bottles and smell real strong. You can use any smell you like, but I like the ones that smell like flowers or fruits. You know, like roses or lemons. You need about 45 drops, mix ‘em up however you like. I used ten drops orange, six drops bergamot, eight drops lemon, eight drops grapefruit for a nice light smell. Mix ‘em all together.
So, you got your water, your aloe juice, your glycerin or witch hazel, and your smell-good oils. Now, you gotta mix it all up. Just dump it all in a little spray bottle, you know, like the ones you use for sprayin’ plants. Give it a good shake, and there you go! You made your own hair perfume! See? Told ya it was easy.
After you wash your hair, when it’s still a little wet, you can spray this stuff all over. Don’t use too much, just a little spritz here and there. Your hair will smell so good, everyone will be askin’ you what you’re usin’. You just tell ‘em it’s a secret family recipe, that’ll keep ‘em guessin’.
Now, some folks say vinegar is good for makin’ hair smell good too. They say you can mix it with water and spray it on your hair after you wash it. I ain’t tried it myself, but it might be worth a shot if you ain’t got them fancy oils. They say it makes your hair shiny too, and helps keep it from gettin’ all greasy. Just mix a little vinegar with a lot of water, don’t go pourin’ straight vinegar on your head, it’ll smell like a pickle factory!
You know, back in the day, shampoo used to smell real good, that’s how we got our hair to smell nice. But these days, they put all sorts of stuff in shampoo that ain’t good for you, so I like makin’ my own stuff. At least I know what’s in it, you know? No weird chemicals or nothin’. Just good, natural stuff that smells nice and makes your hair happy.
Spray that hair perfume all over after washing when it’s still a bit wet, you know like when you section it off. Keep it an arm’s length away though, don’t want to soak your head! Then, at the end, give your hair a flip to really get the good scent all around. Smell good, feel good, that’s what I always say.
Making your own hair perfume spray is a great way to keep your hair smelling good all day long. And it’s so much cheaper than buyin’ that fancy stuff at the store. Plus, you can make it smell exactly the way you want it. So go ahead, give it a try. You might just surprise yourself with how good you are at makin’ stuff.
And remember, keepin’ things natural is always the best way. Just like how they discovered the power of natural stuff, you also can find the good in it. It’s good for you and it’s good for the earth. And that’s somethin’ to feel good about.
So, there you have it. My secret to smellin’ good without breakin’ the bank. Go on now, and make yourself some fancy hair perfume. You deserve to smell good, even if you ain’t got a lot of money. Just remember, a little bit goes a long way, and a good smell can make you feel like a million bucks.
