Okay, so yesterday I did something kinda crazy. I tried doing 108 sun salutations in one go. Yeah, you heard that right, 108! I’d read a bit about it online and thought, why not give it a shot? I mean, I’ve been doing yoga for a while now, so it felt like a good challenge to test myself.
Getting Started
I woke up early, rolled out my mat, and started with a few warm-up stretches. I knew it was going to be a long session, so I wanted to make sure my body was ready. I put on some chill music to get in the zone. The first few rounds felt pretty good. I was moving smoothly, breathing deeply, and feeling the rhythm.
The Middle Part
Around the 30th sun salutation, I started to feel it. My arms were getting tired, and my legs were burning. But I kept pushing. I focused on my breath and just kept moving. There were moments when I really wanted to stop, but I told myself to just do one more, and then another. I used a mala beads to help count the numbers, tapped one bead for each round, and kept moving.
- Focus on breathing
- Keep the movement
- Use a counter
Almost There
By the time I hit 70 or 80, I was in a kind of meditative state. It wasn’t about pushing myself anymore; it was more like I was just flowing with the movement. I was completely in the present moment, not thinking about anything else. Sweat was pouring, but I felt strangely calm. I kept reminding myself why I started, it’s not that hard, just a few more to go.
Finished!
Finally, I reached 108. I laid down in Savasana, and it felt amazing. My body was tired, but I felt so accomplished and peaceful. It was like I had worked through some kind of physical and mental barrier. I stayed there for a while, just breathing and letting it all sink in. It was definitely an experience I won’t forget, and honestly, I think I might try it again sometime.
